actor & director. stage & screen. NYC.
Diane's first foray into the industry came in the form of a TV commercial for TCBY. After running at the camera over, and over, and over, and over again, smile plastered on her face and fake ice cream cone in hand, she knew she never wanted to do anything else.
Which is why she entered her freshman year at Dartmouth College planning to be a pediatric surgeon.
But of course, eventually she turned to the Theater Department, and it is there that she flourished with passion and became a multi-disciplined theater artist. Favorite roles include Thyona in Big Love, Face in Ben Jonson's The Alchemist (the male lead!), and Kayleen in Gruesome Playground Injuries, in addition to directing, costume designing, sound designing, and stage managing numerous other shows.
It was later in college that Diane started to find interest in film - she has now had the opportunity to attend screenings of her short films at the Toronto International Film Festival, San Luis Obispo International Film Festival, and Sundance Film Festival. Her award-winning series Here We Wait has been making its international festival circuit this year, garnering 31 nominations so far – including a win for Diane as Best Supporting Actress at Brooklyn Webfest and a Best Lead Actress: Drama nomination at the IAWTV Awards.
